The invention relates to a system for applying tamper- proof capsules to bottles F of inflammable gas which is based on the use of heat-shrinkable material (such as is the case with PVC) and of water vapour for causing it to heat-shrink, under totally safe conditions, by means of the use of equipment which allows complete automation of the encapsulation system, from the boiler B generating the steam, located outside the safety zone I, passing via the conduit A which takes the steam to the filling zone H, via equipment C for applying the capsules, by means of the filling line G, as far as the equipment D for shrinking the respective head E. <IMAGE>
