In sweeping a pipe P to remove scale from an inner surface, a sweeper (1) or pig includes a body (2) from which a plurality of pin attachments (3) project radially outwards. Each of the pin attachments (3) includes a head portion (4) located outwardly of the body (2) and an anchor (6) for holding to the body (2).
