PURPOSE:To obtain a deodorizer compsn. having a deodorizing effect nitrogenous and sulfur malodor by adding polyphosphoric acid in an aq. soln. contg. a zinc salt and forming a precipitate by adjusting the pH. CONSTITUTION:As a zinc salt to be used, either an salt of an inorg. acid such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, nitric acid and carbonic acid or an org. acid such as acetic acid, tartaric acid and lactic acid can be used and as a polyphosphoric acid, a polyphosphoric acid such as tetrapolyphosphoric acid can be used. For example, while zinc sulfate aq. soln. is stirred, tetrapolyphosphoric acid (H6P4O13) is added at room temp. and then an alkali soln. is furthermore added and the soln. is adjusted at a specified pH to obtain a deposited precipitate, which is then washed and dried to obtain a deodorizer compsn. Amt. and compsn. of the obtd. deodorizer compsn. depends on a molar ratio of zinc sulfate/H6P4O13 and pH where the compsn. is deposited, especially the latter. It is thereby possible to obtain arbitrarily a deodorizer compsn. suitable for the kind of the objective malodor by selecting the molar ratio of zinc sulfate/H6P4O13 to be used and the pH where the deodorizer compsn. is deposited. |
