PURPOSE:To obtain silazanes useful as a raw material for ceramics, an intermediate for medicines, agricultural chemicals, etc., in high yield under mild reactional conditions by reacting hydrosilanes with amines using an alkali metal compound as a catalyst. CONSTITUTION:Hydrosilanes expressed by formula I (R<1>-R<3> represent H, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, alkenyl, alkynyl, aryl, amino or organosilicon group; (k) is 1-100) are reacted with an amine expressed by formula II (R<4> and R<5> represent H, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, aryl or organosilicon group) by using an alkali metal compound expressed by the formula MAH4 (M represents alkali metal; A represents boron or aluminum) (preferably LiBH4, LiAlH4, NaBH4, NaAlH4, KBH4 or KAlH4) to afford the objective silazanes. The amount of the catalyst to be used is preferably 0.1-1mol based on 100mol hydrosilanes. |
