PURPOSE: To prevent yarn break, remaining yarn or the like by cutting a free yarn end connected to the remaining yarn on a bobbin into a length prescribed by a cutting device, and inserting the new free end into the interior of an adapter by a sucking air flow. CONSTITUTION: A sucking air is allowed to act on a yarn end through a sucking line 25 to suck out the outer yarn end F1 of a free yarn end, and an intermediate yarn part F2, and the yarn is cut by a cutter 24. The intermediate yarn part F2 connected to the remaining yarn on a bobbin 6' is also sucked by a sucking air flow acting in the interior of a spindle to the center of an adapter 5.
