PURPOSE:To improve the picture quality such as an image having a black taste is formed by constituting the processor so that sharpness of plural color component signals containing a black color can be set independently. CONSTITUTION:A feature extracting part 403 outputs a BL signal for showing a fact that the present processing picture element is a black image, a COL signal for showing a fact that it is an image having a color taste, a UNK signal for showing a fact that it has possibility of both a black image and an image having a color taste, a CAN signal for cancelling the BL signal, and an EDGE signal for showing a fact that the picture element is a character edge, and a color processing control signal generating part 404 generates a color processing control signal to a color signal processing part 402, and from a control part 401, a PHASE signal is sent to each processing block. Also, sharpness of M, C and Y and sharpness of Bk can be selected independently. The color signal processing part 402 generates a recording picture signal VIDEO, based on the PHASE signal and the color processing control signal. In such a way, an image of a high quality is obtained. |
