PURPOSE: To efficiently coat aggregate in a mixing area insulated from a fire area by reversely circulating fire gas of a burner through a discharge end of a casing having an intake end and a discharge end of the aggregate and injecting bitumen. CONSTITUTION: Aggregate is introduced into a drum by a device 6, is unloaded into an area 7 and is carried to a drying area 9 by being passed through an area 8. The aggregate dried at high temperature gas of flame 14 is carried to the flame area 14 and is further heated and dried. A coated material recirculated at a position of a recirculating ring 12 is mixed with new aggregate and is heated, and liquid bitumen is injected and mixed by an injection nozzle 31 in an area 30. Within the area 30, the aggregate is raised and mixed by a fin 32 within the area 30 and the aggregate contacting with bitumen is efficiently coated. As a result, excellent quality coating can be performed within an area completely separated from the flame area 14 of the drum.
