PURPOSE: To control free fermentation in a feed to preferable tendency, namely, to cause pure fermentation of lactic acid as much as possible and to improve storage property of a feed by adding strains of Lactobacillus plantarum. CONSTITUTION: Lactobacillus plantarum strain DSM4904 is added by about 10<5> to 10<7> cfu per unit gram of feed, preferably 10<6> cfu per unit gram of feed. More preferably, an enzyme to decompose vegetable fibers such as cellulase or at least one kind of preservative selected from among a formate, a benzoate and org. acids such as propionic acid are added. If desired, at least one kind of other Lactobacillus plantarum strains or other lactic acid mycetoma is added. |
