PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration in pucture quality due to smear phenomena, by closing a shutter provided at an optical path of an image picked up light irradiated on an image sensor, after a prescribed exposure time from the generation of an external synchronizing signal. CONSTITUTION:A still picture located at the outside of a camera body 1 is picked up at a solid-state image sensor 9 and recorded on a rotating magnetic disc 12. A shutter mechanism 4 is normally opened, and when a shutter operating member 5 is operated and a shutter operating signal is applied from a control circuit 70 to a drive circuit 40, the shutter mechanism 4 is closed in response to the shutter operation signal after a prescribed exposure time from the timing of a vertical synchronizing signal. When the shutter mechanism is closed, i.e., the light is shut, the readout of picture signals is done from the sensor 9. |
