<p>PURPOSE:To attain the consecution of communication only with deteriorated throughput for a terminal equipment by switching the communication by local confirmation into end-end confirmation when congestion takes place. CONSTITUTION:When a management section 10 detects occurrence of congestion in a relay line adaptor 8, the section 10 sends a regulation command 15 to a terminal line adaptor section 5 and sends a congestion notice packet 16 to other exchange. Upon the receipt of a congestion notice packet, a management section 11 of an exchange 2 sends a regulation command 17 to a terminal line adaptor 6. When communication by the local confirmation protocol is requested from a terminal equipment, the adaptor 5 returns an RR packet 13 normally to a DT packet 12 received from the terminal equipment. Upon the receipt of the packet 13, the terminal equipment 3 returns the succeeding DT packet 14. The adaptor 5 applies the control of end-end confirmation as to all communication when the regulation command is received and receives the DT packet 18 from the terminal equipment and sends the RR packet 19 to the terminal equipment when the RR packet is received from the opposite terminal equipment to continue the communication.</p> |
