摘要 <p>PURPOSE: To measure both angular acceleration and linear acceleration by holding a set of oscillating beams which respond electromechanically symmetrical with regard to one main spindle, and adding or subtracting an electric output signal corresponding to the deflection of oscillating beams. CONSTITUTION: The polarity of beams 1 consisting of piezo-electric binary beam elements is formed so that a plus electric charge may be generated on the upper side and a plus electric charge may be generated on the lower side. The acceleration az in the Z-direction, or in the right-angled direction to the two beams gives the identical downward deflection to each of the beams. When the connecting terminals at the upper and lower sides of the two beams are shorted each other and are taken out from signal wiring 5, an output signal S becomes a measurement for linear acceleration aZ in X-axis direction. When angular acceleration (a) occurs around Y-axis, it is bent downwards on the left side and upwards on the right side. When the connecting terminals on the upper and lower sides are connected so as to cross each other, the output signal delivered to the signal wiring 5 from the connecting terminal on the lower side becomes a measurement for the angular acceleration (a).</p>
