PURPOSE:To supply water into intake without requiring the complicate works by extracting steam from the exhaust gas sent into an exhaust gas storage chamber by a steam permeable film and sending the steam into an intake passage through a steam storage chamber. CONSTITUTION:When exhaust gas is sent into an exhaust gas storage chamber 13, steam is separated by the operation of a steam permeable film 12, and stored into a steam storage chamber 14. The steam stored in the steam storage chamber 14 is sucked into a suction passage 30 by the negative pressure generated in a venturi part 30a, and water is supplied into the intake, and hydrogen is supplied into the intake by a fuel injector 33, and the mixed gas is sent into a combustion chamber 34. When the engine is in high loaded state, also the negative pressure generated in the venturi part 30a increases, and a large quantity of water is supplied into the intake, and the generation of abnormal combustion is suppressed. Further, when the engine is in high loaded state, also the quantity of the exhaust gas increases, and also the quantity of steam obtained by a steam separating device 10 increases, and the shortage of the water supplied into intake is prevented. |
