<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a detection delay and malfunction by updating a stored value when the difference between the stored value and a pulse interval measured just after the measurement of the pulse interval is within a prescribed range and deciding it to be tape over-winding or end of tape when the difference is a prescribed upper limit or above. CONSTITUTION:A reel pulse generating means 10 outputs a reel pulse synchronously with the rotation of a winding reel. Just after a pulse interval measurement means 12 measures a pulse interval, when a difference (P1-P2) between the measured pulse interval P1 and a pulse interval P2 stored in a storage means 14 is a prescribed upper limit or below and a prescribed lower limit or above, a storage updating means 22 updates the stored value in the storage means 14. When the difference (P1-P2) between the pulse intervals P1, P2 is the upper limit or above, the deciding means 20 decides it to be a tape over-winding or tape end. Thus, the delay in the detection is minimized and the malfunction due to noise is reduced.</p> |
