<p>PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption and to make the tracking control mechanism small by starting the control of the tracking control mechanism when the middle part of an optical card detects the position to an optical head. CONSTITUTION:A sensor 30 is provided to a position of an optical head 18 corresponding to an objective lens 19 and when the sensor senses an object 31 to be detected projected from the midposition of a card holder 5, a mobile use motor 8 is stopped to allow the objective lens 19 to face the midposition of an optical card C. Then energizing to a focusing/tracking control exciting coil is started, the motor 8 is driven again to carry the card C for the readout. Thus, the displacement of the lens 19 by the tracking control while taking the support position of the natural state is taken as a reference point, a repulsive elastic force of the head 18 at its displacement is reduced. Thus, the power consumption for the tracking control is reduced and the size of the tracking control mechanism is made small.</p> |
