摘要 PURPOSE:To enable the radial position of a cutting tool to be adjusted during boring machining, by coupling the rear end of a tool adjusting shaft arranged in an automatically convertible boring quill to an operating shaft which moves back and forth in a main shaft. CONSTITUTION:A hollow clamp shaft coupled to a pull stud arranged on the rear end of a boring quill 31 and clamping the boring quill 31 is arranged to be moved back and forth by a piston rod 51 in a main shaft 26 which is born rotatably on a main shaft head. A tool adjusting shaft 35 provided with an oblique cam surface 35a touching a cutter holder 36 is arranged in the boring quill 31 as being energized upward with a spring 39 and its rear end portion is projected from the boring quill 31. An operating shaft 40 of which tip is coupled to the tool adjusting shaft 35 is arranged rotatably and in a slidable condition in the clamp shaft, and pushing out and drawing in of the cutter holder 36 are performed through back and forth movement of the cutter holder 36 by a feed screw 44.
