THERMAL INK-TRANSFER IMAGE FORMATION USING SULFONYL AMINOANTHRAQUINONE DYE

摘要

PURPOSE: To give good light fastness and thermal stability to an image by using an anthraquinone dye having a sulfonicamino substituent represented by a specific structural formula, thereby additionally giving an image having an allowable density and a correct color. CONSTITUTION: The thermal transfer image contains continuous layer of at least one type of anthraquinone dye in a polymer binder. The dye occupies 99 wt.% or less of a total weight of the dye and the binder. The continuous layer is bonded to a support. And the anthraquione dye having a general structure of a formula I is selected.
