PURPOSE:To improve the corrosion resistance of the surface layer of a combined ceramic product and to prevent the change of the electric resistance over a long period of time even at a high temp. by coating a first phase having electrical conductivity with a second phase made of an inorg. material having deterioration resistance and low electrical conductivity. CONSTITUTION:This combined ceramic product consists of plural phases and is formed by coating the first phase with the second phase. The first phase is a continuous phase made of silicon carbide-based electrically conductive ceramics. The second phase is a continuous phase made of high density ceramics or a prescribed inorg. material. This inorg. material is amorphous or nearly amorphous and has electrical nonconductivity or low electrical conductivity. The high density ceramics has electrical nonconductivity or low electrical conductivity and the density is >=90% of the density of a single crystal. |
