POSITION DETECTOR FOR MOVING BODY

摘要

PURPOSE:To detect the position of a moving body precisely by finding a phase difference between signals received by antennas installed on the moving body. CONSTITUTION:Two open type transmission lines 21 and 22 are extended along the passage of a moving body; one open type transmission line 21 is connected to a ground transmitter 23 at one terminal O1 of the moving body passage, and the other line 22 is connected to the ground transmitter 23 at the other terminal O2. The moving body 24 is provided with antennas 25 and 26 coupled electromagnetically with those open type transmission lines, and the phases of high-frequency signals which are transmitted from the transmitter to propagate through the open type transmission lines and then received by the antennas 25 and 26 respectively are compared mutually by a receiver 27 to discriminate the position of the moving body on the moving body.
