The invention relates to an opening device for opening and closing a back flap 3 articulately joined to a side flap 2 by a butt hinge 1 having a vertical axis. According to the invention, the device incorporates an angle piece 5 supported at its one end 4 articulately on the side flap, a cylinder 6 supported articulately farther away from the butt hinge on the side flap than the angle piece and the one end of which is articulately supported between the ends of the angle piece, a pivot arm 8 for articulately joining the one end 7 of the angle piece and the back flap, and a power device 9 arranged to open and close the back flap with the aid of the pivot arm 8. <IMAGE>
