Globe valve including a body (101) provided with an upstream pipe (113a) and a downstream pipe (113b) and a cap (102) mounted on the said body (101) and with respect to which there slides a shutter (103) intended to interact with a sealing bearing surface (107) in order to close off one (113a) of the pipes, the upstream pipe (113a) and the downstream pipe (113b) opening out from the body (101) substantially level with the sealing bearing surface (107) into a chamber (114) for the passage of the fluid, the said chamber (114) being formed in the said cap (102), the sealing bearing surface (107) being located substantially level with the outer surface of the body (101). <IMAGE>
