PURPOSE:To obtain the subject modifier, having parts with affinity for specific hemocytic cells and low-adhesive parts to water-insoluble solid substances in the molecule and suitably used for purely separating, purifying and concentrating the hemocytic cells with minimized functional damage. CONSTITUTION:A hemocytic cell modifier, selected from saccharide chains, glycoproteins, immunoglobulins, hydrophobic organic synthetic substances, peptides, amino acids, etc., and having parts with affinity for specific hemocytic cells and low-adhesive parts (e.g. hydroxyl group or carbonyl group) to water- insoluble solid substances. The aforementioned modifier is brought into contact with a solution which contains plural hemocytic cells and is to be treated to modify the objective specific hemocytic cells. The resultant solution to be treated is subsequently brought into contact with the water-insoluble solid substances to adhere other existing hemocytic cells to the aforementioned solid substances and recover only the specific cells. The above-mentioned modifier is preferably prepared by binding the parts exhibiting low adhesion to the water-insoluble solid substances, such as polyhydric alcohol or carbonic acid derivative, to a compound having affinity for the specific hemocytic cells. |
