Current transfer contact for electron gun - has separate relatively movable connecting and contact element components

The contact transmits heating current to a cathode support of an electron gun. On a contact carrier, a terminal supports a contact element, compressible by a spring force onto a counter-contact surface. The terminal element (13) and the contact element (14) are separate, relatively movable components, interconnected by a flexible conductor (17). A spring (24) abuts the terminal element to stress the contact element in the direction of the countercontact surface (9). The terminal and contact elements and the flexible conductor are pref. of copper or copper alloy, the conductor being in the form of a stranded core. ADVANTAGE - Improved electric and thermal conductivity, and high temp. resistance.
