Forming ceramic film or layer on surface of substrate - by spark discharge in electrolytic bath contg. aq. soln. of water soluble silicate dispersed in fine ceramic particles

Formation of ceramic film or layer (I) on the surface of a substrate (II) by spark discharge (III) is carried out in an electrolytic bath, which contains an aq. soln. of a water-sol. or colloidal silicate (IV) and/or an hydroxy acid salt (V) dispersed in fine ceramic particles. The suspended state of the ceramic particles is guaranteed in the electrolytic bath. A similar process of forming a ceramic film or layer on the surface of a substrate as above is also claimed, but the aq. soln. is now dispersed in fine particles contg. molybdenum disulphide, carbon, fluorided graphite and tetrafluoroethylene resin.
