Methods of using a number of compounds for the inhibition of lipoxygenase in warm blooded animals. Pathological conditions which may be treated by the compounds described herein include psoriasis and other skin disorders involving scaling and epidermal cellular proliferation, inflammatory disorder, skin allergies, insect bites, allergic rhinitis, conjunctivitis, hay fever, bronchial asthma, allergic gastroenteritis, uterine contractions, hyperactivity of the colon and bronchospasms. |
