Device for removing coolant water from rolled material consists of arranging two to six water stripped dies (3 to 8) behind the last cooling tube (1). The spacing (a) between the tube (1) and first die (3) is at least as big as the smallest diameter (d1) of cooling tube diffuser (2). The subsequent spacings (b to f) are at least 1.25 times the diameters (d2 to d6) of the guide parts (16) of each die. The diameter (d) of the guide part (16) of the first die is at most as large as the smallest diameter (d1) of the cooling tube diffusor (2) and the subsequent diameters (d3 to d7) of the following dice at most as large as the smallest width of the cooling tube (1). The incline angles B1 to B6 of the dice are greater than the angle of the cooling tube diffused. ADVANTAGE - Is effective water stripping device which does not require additional pressurised air or water. It is short in length and the electro-energy consumption is reduced.
