The high-speed lock nut has a basic part (11) which has outer spanner-operating surfaces and inner guide surfaces for threaded segments (13) which move radially in relation to a threaded bolt. A cover (12) on the basic part (11) grips over the guide surfaces and threaded segments (13). The basic part (11) has two circular-sectioned extensions (16) sticking out axially and positioned on both sides of a hole (14,35,19) into which the threaded bolt fits and forming guide grooves (17) on both inner sides. Guide ridges (37) on the threaded segment (13) slide along the guide ridges (37). Each threaded segment (13) has a slide pin going through a hole (19) in the cover (12). USE/ADVANTAGE - The high-speed lock nut is compact and more easily handled and structured.
