PURPOSE:To produce a resistant layer readily in a short time by forming the resistant layer of an electrifying member in such a way that a resin emulsion composition or rubber latex composition is coated and dried. CONSTITUTION:The resistant layer 2a of the electrifying member 2 is formed by coating and drying the resin emulsion composition or rubber latex composition. In the resin emulsion or latex rubber, the resin or rubber being a main dispersion is never dissolved in its dispersion liquid ( dispersing medium). Consequently, the time required for the resin emulsion or latex rubber as the resistant layer 2a to dry a coating layer is shortened. As a result, the surface layer of the resistant layer 1a is never redissolved by the remaining, dispersing medium even if the dispersing medium remains in the lower layer of the formed resistant layer 2a. Moreover, in spite of the short drying time, the adhesion of the electrifying member to a body to be electrified and the degradation of the surface of the body never occur because the remaining, dispersing medium does not come to the surface of the resistant layer. |
