The heavy goods vehicle has a driver's cab which can be tilted forwards to provide access to the engine. The cab is connected to the vehicle chassis (13) by a four-bar kinetic chain. The kinematic chain consists of a first link (15), which has one end pivoted by a bolt (17) to the front end of the chasis (13) and the other end pivoted by a bolt (26) to the frame member (11) on the cab. The other two links of the kinematic chain are formed by the cab and the chassis. This linkage forms a completely controlled guidance system for the tilting of the cab.
