Fontanel-metric brain pressure measurer - places pressure sensor at precisely determined depth value w.r.t. untouched head cortex in fontanelle

An applicator fixes the pressure sensor on the fontanelle measuring place (7) in the head cortex (6) such that the measuring surface of the sensor is pressed into the fontanelle at a precisely determined depth value (h) w.r.t. to the untouched head cortex (6). This depth of penetration is between 0.5 and 3 mm, pref. between 0.7 and 1.4 mm, ideally 1 mm. Pref. the applicator is glued to the cortex. For this purpose a double-sided working adhesive ring can be provided. USE/ADVANTAGE - Diagnosis of hydrocephalus, intracranial bleeding, hypoxemic and toxic encephalopathy as well as prevention of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. Allows measurements over long period practically free of artifacts.
