The outer assembly (1) incorporates a compressor (1c), a fan motor (1d) and a condenser (1e) with a capillary tube connection (1f) to a flow control solenoid vlave (4) and supply pipe (3a). The return pipe (3b) enters via a similar valve (5). Heat exchangers are provided in the inner assmebly (2). A third valve (6) is opened by a relay in ventilation mode giving access to a branch pipe (3c) to atmos. In coolant recovery mode the compressor (1c) is started and the return valve (5) opened. ADVANTAGE - Users without special skill or experience can choose between normal operation, ventilation and coolant recovery modes.
