Two-band frequency converter for SHF range - has preamplifier, diplexer with filter function and local oscillator in two frequency branches

The converter has at least one mixer stage and two local oscillators for the frequency conversion into two mutually offset IF band regions. For the simultaneous processing of both frequency band regions a converter (5) is provided with a preamplifier (7), a diplexer (9) with a mirror reference filter function, and a local oscillator (13') in both frequency branches (11') behind the diplexer. Each local oscillator is selected so that the mixing and interference frequency prods. from the local oscillator differences and their integral multiples have at least 50 MHz spacing w.r.t. the SHF reception regions. USE/ADVANTAGE - Reception of telecommunications satellite signals, with simple design suitable also for community aerials.
