摘要 The invention concerns a method of producing steel for steel cord, patent wire and traction cable. The essence is based on the fact that during tapping of steel, at 1,600 to 1,680 degrees C with a mass content of 0.04 to 0.15 % carbon, into a pan, the steel is supplemented with 3.0 to 11.5 kg carburising agent and 5.0 to 11.0 kg ferroalloy, such as ferrosilicon, per ton of steel, without aluminium, and first homogenisation is carried out for two to four minutes, whereupon 0.25 to l.0 kg of aluminium per ton of steel is added, and second homogenisation is carried out for four to ten minutes, with subsequent vacuum treatment and possible alloying of the steel prior to casting.
