PURPOSE:To independently and freely set the startup and rising rates of operating oil pressure by providing an electronic control pressure governor means for electronically controlling the operating oil pressure of a clutch for switching from a stepped transmission system to a stepless transmission system. CONSTITUTION:After starting, when a speed change motor 41 moves a speed command valve 40 and a speed change control valve 42 from the overstroke position to the left according to the traveling conditions such as a car speed, an engine load and the like, line pressure is controlled according to the lock-up condition and converter condition of a torque covnerter by operation of a solenoid valve 38, while the speed change control valve 42 increases the pressure in an input pulley chamber 8b, and supplies the pressure as a initial pressure to a high-clutch 21. The rising rate of the high-clutch pressure is freely electronically controlled by a duty solenoid 43 and the clutch is connected to enable transmission of power. Thus, the change gear ratio difference at the time of switching from a fixed ratio transmission system to a stepless transmission systems minimized so as to prevent a speed change shock from being increased. |
