The essence of the invention is in the method cleaning the surface of the device for thermal processing of sulphite lyes - vapour side - by means of a concentrated solution of hydrogen nitrate and dilute solution of sodium hydroxide. Mechanical methods of eliminating coatings are lengthy, physically difficult and ineffective. These drawbacks are eliminated by chemical cleaning according to the invention.
