When determining, the surface temperature of the component and characteristic values of the whole device are measured. The merit lies in the fact that the component including the sensor of the surface temperature is heated up and after stopping of the heat supply, one determines the slope of tangent to that part of dependency of the characteristic value on temperature that was read when the temperature of the component approached the environmental temperature, while this slope equals the partial temperature coefficient by which the tested component participates in the temperature coefficient of the whole device. It is intended for using with electrical heating equipments that are exposed to a wide range of temperatures.<IMAGE>
