PURPOSE:To suppress the lowering of contrast caused by external light to be low and to obtain a displayed image having high image quality by arranging a specified color filter at a position on a screen corresponding to the picture element of a liquid crystal panel. CONSTITUTION:The specified color filter 5 is arranged at the position on the screen 3 corresponding to the picture element of the liquid crystal panel 4. Therefore, when the displayed image of the liquid crystal panel 4 is projected on the screen 3, the position of the projected picture element of the liquid crystal panel 4 coincides with that of the color filter 5. Then, the projected image is colored by the color filter 5 and the colored image is observed. At such a time, the reflectance of the mask part of the color filter 5 gets low. Thus, the reflection of the external light made incident on the screen from an observation side is suppressed and the high image quality is obtained. |
