PURPOSE:To execute the optical operation at a high speed and with a high parallel degree by arranging a prism for reflecting and dividing an emitted light from a face type optical output element array and leading it to the other face type optical input/output element array, on an image forming lens array. CONSTITUTION:On a substrate 1, face input/output photoelectric fusion element arrays 2 - 4 are mounted to an electric wiring 9, an image forming lens array 5 is provided thereon, and also, a prism 6 is arranged on each image forming lens array. The prism 6 has a function for leading an emitted light from each face input/output photoelectric fusion element array 2 - 4 to the other face input/output photoelectric fusion element arrays 2 - 4. In this state, input information is inputted as an input light 10 to the face input/output photoelectric fusion element arrays 2 - 4 through the prism and the image forming lens array, its contents are stored, and subsequently, transferred mutually to the face input/ output photoelectric fusion element array and calculated. In such a way, an optical computing element using a face type optical input/output element of a high parallel degree is obtained, and optical computing can be executed in parallel and at a high speed. |
