PURPOSE:To provide the above agent which is extremely chemically and physically stable by separating and packing the metal salt of the chlorous acid selected from the group consisting of the alkali metal salts of chlorous acid and the alkaline earth metal salts of chlorous acid and an inorg. compd. of an acidic system into bags made of the same non-woven fabric. CONSTITUTION:This agent is formed by separating and packing the metal salt of the chlorous acid and the inorg. compd. of the acidic system into the bags made of the same non-woven fabric. Both of the chlorite of the alkali metals and the chlorite of the alkaline earth metals are usable as the chlorite to be used. The practicable and economical chlorite is sodium chlorite. The inorg. compd. of the acidic system includes acid clay, kaolin clay, talc, zeolite, alumina silicate, etc. The deodorizing and dehumidifying agent is usually so prepd. as to consist usually, by weight, of about 1 to 20% chlorite and 99 to 80% inorg. compd. of the acidic system. The agent has the effect of deodorizing uncomfortable smells but the concn. of gaseous chlorine dioxide increases excessively and the gaseous chlorine dioxide remains in some cases if the ratio of the chlorite exceeds 20%. The deodorization effect is insufficient if the ratio is <1%. |
