The existing sensors of magnetic flaw detectors are unfavourable for dependences of the signal on the measurement speed and measuring errors by the impact of outer ferromagnetic materials. The sensor sensitive to gradual and instant losses of the cross section of ferromagnetic materials, especially ropes, uses the Hall probe or other converter of the magnetic field into the electric voltage, which is located in the measuring magnetic head, and, between the poles of the magnetic head, consists of the magnetic circuit of the detector of the gradual loss of the cross section of ferromagnetic materials with the first Hall probe, inside which the magnetic circuit of the instant loss of the cross section of ferromagnetic materials with the second Hall probe is arranged. The distance between the poles of the magnetic circuit of the detector of the gradual loss of the cross section equals a half of the length of the distance of the magnetic head and the distance of the poles of the magnetic circuit of the detector of the instant loss of the cross section is many times smaller than the distance of the poles of the magnetic circuit of the detector of the gradual loss of the cross section. The poles of the magnetic circuit of the detector of the instant loss of the cross section are equipped with inserts, while the magnetic head, magnetic circuit of the detector of the gradual loss of the cross section and magnetic circuit of the detector of the instant loss of the cross section are arranged in the shape of a disc and are split and the magnetic circuit of the detector of the gradual loss of the cross section consists of at least one Hall probe.<IMAGE>
