The principle of this method lies in the melt down of elementary sulphur at temperatures of 130 to 160 degrees C and subsequent mixture with the radioactive waste at weight ratio of 1 : 0.01 up to 3. After homogenisation, the melt is transferred into storage containers, where it hardens.
