<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a golf ball of a regular octahedron dimple array in which three kinds of more of dimples are arrayed on an average, and which is excellent in a flying performance and an aerodynamic symmetry property by arraying the dimples of the same diameter as prescribed in the center part and the midpoint of each side of each spherical regular triangle divided equally into eight pieces. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a ball 1 is divided into eight equal parts by eight pieces of spherical regular triangles 3 surrounded by three pieces of first virtual large circle lines 2, and on the center part of each spherical regular triangle 3, three pieces of dimples 4 of the same diameter are provided so that a regular triangle 5 is formed by three pieces of straight lines for connecting the centers of these dimples, and also, length DD1 of one side of the regular triangle 5 does not exceed two folds of the diameter Dm of these dimples. In the regular triangle 5 formed by these dimples 4, other dimple is not provided. Also, two pieces of dimples 6 having the same diameter as that of the dimple 4 are provided on symmetrical positions placing a midpoint 8 on each side 7 of the spherical regular triangle between, respectively so that its inter-center distance DD2 does not exceed two folds of the diameter Dm of the dimple 6.
