The device consists of a pair of metal strip straight guides, sets of springs, anvils and a reader. The principle of the design lies in the fact that a moveable part of the first metal strip straight guide is equipped with the first anvil, which adjoins the outer surface of the measured bearing and clamp of the reader. The moveable part of the second metal strip straight guide is equipped with the support, which touches the measuring point of the reader, and with the second metal strip straight guide, which is in contact with the surface of the opening of the measured bearing. Both the moveable parts of the metal strip straight guides are drawn towards each other by means of a draw spring. A balancing spring is arranged between the moveable and fixed part of each of the metal strip straight guide. The movement of the metal strip straight guides can be limited by the lift stops that embrace projections, which are arranged on the moveable parts of the metal strip straight guides, possibly entirely secure by the stop systems.<IMAGE>
