PURPOSE: To increase the effect in gas sepn., reverse osmosis, pervaporation and precision filtration by forming a composite membrane of an asymmetric membrane consisting of an at least partially crystalline arom. ether ketone polymer. CONSTITUTION: The arom. ether ketone polymer is dissolved in a strong acid which is substantially non-sulfonating to the polymer, by which a polymer soln. is prepd. This polymer soln. is molded to a desired shape and a non-solvent to this polymer is brought into contact with the polymer soln. under such conditions under which the membrane having a suitable form, shape, size and porosity settles. The membrane is then taken out of the strong acid/non-solvent mixture. The asymmetric membrane consisting of the at least partially crystalline arom. ether ketone polymer is thus obtd. The gas sepn., pervaporation, reverse osmosis or the like are executed by using such asymmetric membrane. |
