PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of a packaging work by a method wherein an adhesive layer is formed in the vicinity of one side edge of a band shaped film in the longitudinal direction, and a pair of notches, which confront each other from both side edges, are punched in the longitudinal direction of the band, and a narrow width film part is formed between the notches, and a wide width film part is formed in the longitudinal direction of the band, and an object to be packaged is placed on the wide width film part and packaged automatically. CONSTITUTION:For a band shaped film 1, an adhesive layer 2 is formed in the vicinity of one side edge, and notches 3, 3 are formed by punching from both side edges. Between the notches 3, 3, a narrow width film part 4 is formed. In the meantime, between two pairs of the notches, a wide width film part 5 is formed, and an object to be packaged 6 is placed on the wide width film part 5. From both side edges of the object to be packaged 6, both wing parts 5a, 5a of the wide width film part 5 are erected by bending and placed over the object to be packaged 6 by bending. Then, the narrow width film part 4 is cut, and the object to be packaged 6 is separated from the band shaped film 1. The narrow width film part 4 becomes tongue pieces 4a, 4a. Then, the object to be packaged 6 is carried in the direction, which is rectangular to the delivery carrying direction, and adhesive layers 7, 7 are formed on the tongue pieces 4a, 4a, and the tongue pieces 4a, 4a are bonded on the wing part 5a to complete the packaging.
