PURPOSE:To obtain an image forming apparatus having excellent environmental stability and excellent operability by applying a voltage with a conductive member at least as one electrode. CONSTITUTION:The contact of a plate roll 109 with a second intermediate roll 107 is disengaged, a voltage is so applied between a first intermediate roll 105 and the roll 107 that ink of the roll 107 side becomes nonadhesive, and both the rolls 107, 105 are rotated to move the ink on the roll 107 onto the roll 105. Then, the contact of the roll 105 with the roll 107 is disengaged, and a voltage is so applied between the roll 105 and an ink carrying roll 101 that the ink of the roll 105 side becomes nonadhesive. Thus, an ink layer 106 on the roll 105 is absorbed to ink 2 on the roll 101. In this manner, the ink remaining in the parts in an apparatus can be simply removed without manual power before and after the formation of an image. |
