<p>PURPOSE:To stabilize the sheet feed function by providing such an arrangement that a sheet stacking plate is pushed so as to be moved always in parallel with a sheet fed rotary member in order to hold the upper surface of the sheet stacking plate in a condition in which is makes contact with the sheet feed rotary member with a substantially predetermined constant pressure. CONSTITUTION:A sheet stacking plate (middle plate) 11 is pushed up by the push-up urging force of a spring 24 so as to be moved always in parallel with a sheet feed rotary member (feed roller)2, irrespective of the volume of sheets stacked thereon. Accordingly, even either in a full load condition or in a small load condition, and further during such a process that the fully stacked sheets 6 are successively consumed one by one so a to fall in the small load condition up to a condition in which the last one is fed, the distance (d) between a sheet separating friction member (separating pad) 3 and the sheet loading plate 11, and the angle theta between the upper surface of the sheet stacking plate 11 and the sheet separating friction member 3 are held at their respective predetermined constant values.</p> |
