The present invention relates to a method for producing a die. A disc-shaped material 11 is placed on a model 10, the shape of which corresponds to the cavity surface of the die. The one side of the disc-shaped material is subjected to an even hydraulic pressure across its surface in the direction of the model so that the disc- shaped material is deformed and attaches to the model. The pressure is relieved and the shell formed by the disc is used as part of the cavity surface which comprises the die. <IMAGE> |
