PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a plane shape and to miniaturize an ultrasonic probe by removing a reference potential route on a flexible printed board and forming the reference potential route by a metallic body arranged between the printed board and a backing material. CONSTITUTION:One main face side of a piezo-electric chip 1 is stuck to the backing material 5 fixed on a base 6. The metallic body 8 to be the reference potential route connected to an electrode on the other main face of the chip 1 is arranged between the flexible printed board 2 and the backing material 5, i.e., the base 6 so as to be extended to the side. The terminal part 7 of the printed board 2 connected to an exciting electrode formed on the other main face of the chip 1 through conductors is connected to cable lines and stored so that the plane direction coincides with a pipe diameter direction. |
