PURPOSE:To make the pattern of an image sharp and to attain high quality image by imagewise exposing a photosensitive layer on an electrically conductive substrate, holding the layer between the substrate and an electrode, impressing voltage and stripping the electrode to carry out development. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive body obtd. by forming a photosensitive layer 2 on an electrically conductive substrate 1 is imagewise exposed to produce difference in physical property between the expoosed and unexposed parts. The layer 2 is then held between the substrate 1 as one electrode and the other electrode 3, voltage is impressed between the electrodes to increase the difference in physical property and the electrode 3 with the unexposed part is stripped to form an image. The layer 2 may be composed of an ethylenic unsatd. polymerizable compd. such as (meth)acrylic ester, a photopolymn. initiator such as a carbonyl compd., a solvent for generating gas, swellable fine particles and a colorant. |
