发明名称 ANGULAR VELOCITY SENSOR
摘要 PURPOSE:To improve detecting sensitivity without increasing Coriolis force by forming the cross sectional shape of at least the end part of a vibration body in a rectangular shape wherein one side for connecting main surfaces is smaller than the other side. CONSTITUTION:The cross sectional shape of a vibrating body 1 constituting an apparatus is formed in a rectangular shape so that one side for connecting main surfaces 1b and 1d to which supporting members 3a and 3b are linked is smaller than the other side. Therefore, the vibrating body 1 has the structure so that the vibrating body 1 is readily deflected in the detecting direction where the supporting members 3a and 3b are provided. The large deviation between the resonance frequency in the detecting direction generated by the loads due to the supporting members 3a and 3b and the resonance frequency in the driving direction is eliminated. The frequency of Coriolis force and the resonance frequency in the detecting direction are brought close together. Driving in the detecting direction by the Coriolis force is performed efficiently. Thus, the detecting sensitivity can be improved.
